SURF and Kennisnet organise the discourse around IT, digitisation, and education in the Netherlands. In their recently published „Value Compass for digital transformation of education“, they jointly present a value-oriented guide as a basis for the discourse around digitisation in education.

The aim of the compass is to create a common language, SURF said in a statement. Central values for this project in the Values Compass are justice, humanity, and autonomy. The guide gives concrete examples to put these values into practice and describes the method as applicable across sectors beyond the school and university context. The compass is available under a Creative Commons licence and is therefore suitable for non-commercial use and redistribution with attribution to the authors.
