The EdTech Compass – Enabling Orientation and Creating Visibility

With the EdTech-Compass, the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung offers orientation with regard to innovative educational technologies.

The term EdTech can be used to describe innovative and technology-oriented companies and startups that offer solutions, services and products in the field of learning and education applications.

Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung has created the EdTech-Kompass, an overview of the most promising EdTech companies and their educational technologies, products and services. Making the potential of the EdTech industry visible to higher education development and educational institutions is an important first step in fostering future collaborations.

Supporting EdTechs and educational innovations can also be an important lever to strengthen and accompany universities on their way into future educational worlds.

The EdTech Compass of the Hochschulforum Digitalisierung offers educational stakeholders orientation on products and services in the field of EdTech. EdTech startups and companies, the Compass enables more visibility, especially in higher education. The compass offers the possibility to filter specifically by education sector (higher education, school education, training and lifelong learning) and application purpose (e.g. education management, learning platform, communication) and to search for suitable products offers and providers.
