University:Future Festival - Learning, Systems and the New Normal

Never before in the history of university education has the transfer of knowledge had to be changed as quickly and comprehensively as in 2020. One thing is clear: the university world will be different after 2020 than it was before. Now is the moment when important decisions are being made about the future of higher education. Discuss with us how we will teach, learn, cooperate and exchange ideas in the future. From 6 to 8 October 2020. On the web. Here you will find all the information you need.

For three days, we will bring together professors, students, university administrators and other players from universities, politics and society and create a virtual space for exchange on digital higher education. Meet old acquaintances and get to know new digital like-minded people.

Festival-Program

Which scenarios have proven themselves in the digital summer semester 2020 - and which not? How can innovative methods and tools continue to enrich university teaching in the future? We also ask what framework conditions need to be created for this, both by politicians and by universities. International examples complement the perspective on the future of teaching and learning.

The festival consists of three programme days:

BarCamp (Tuesday, 06.10.): In the free BarCamp format participants can discuss all relevant topics.

Conference day (Wednesday, 07.10.): In four parallel live streams, German and international experts* will talk about higher education after 2020.

Workshop day (Thursday, 08.10.): In longer workshops, participants work together on products and learn from each other.

On all days, the program is mainly fed by submissions from our community.

The mindset behind the festival – more up to date than ever

We are united by a mindset: We are never done, constantly striving for improvements and never afraid of thinking in new ways. We know: There is no such thing as the one solution. We see every progress as a step on which we continue to build. We question existing standards and develop new ideas. We do this together. Because there is at least one thing we know about the future: It brings changes - again and again - in the world of work, in society, in the environment and in our systems. These changes can be shaped. And we want to shape them.

The University:Future Festival brings together all people who share our attitude. People who have the courage to rethink. This courage can be found everywhere. In the small but effective improvement of an existing system. In the great vision. In the critical analysis of your own mistakes.
