In recent years, many countries and higher education systems have stepped up their efforts to successfully implement the digital transformation in studying and teaching. Technological developments, such as the generative AI, the incredible dynamic in which universities and education systems are challenged to quickly and simultaneously identify and implement innovative approaches and effective solutions for the further development of digital learning and teaching.

Do you want to drive forward the digital transformation of universities in Germany, contribute international perspectives and experience to strengthen the work of the HFD and network its community of education experts? Do you want to identify topics relating to digitalization in teaching and learning from other countries (preferably in Europe) and introduce good practices to your own university and German practice?

Then apply by September 2, 2024 with peers and a joint concept for your trip. The HFD promotes this international transfer of knowledge and covers travel costs of up to 1,000 euros per delegation member.

The delegation trips 2025 funded by the HFD aim to get to know these different approaches and framework conditions in other higher education systems on site and to better understand the respective success factors in their interdependencies. The selection will be made in a competitive process based on the concepts submitted in September. The selected delegation teams will be notified in September and can carry out their trips in 2025 (January-July).
