New learning spaces in new building on campus (NL)

We not only received ideas for the design of the new building, but also for the use of existing areas.

In November 2023, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (H-BRS) undertook a pioneering delegation trip to inspire the design of its future campus in St. Augustin. This project, planned for completion by 2030 and financed with 42 million euros, aims to create innovative learning and research environments.

During the trip, the delegates visited leading Dutch universities to explore best practices in campus design. The findings and ideas gathered will play a key role in the design of the new H-BRS building, which will include flexible laboratories, creative areas and rooms for student work.

These experiences are not only of great importance for the development of H-BRS, but also offer valuable insights for other educational institutions that are striving for similar transformation processes.

The video gives a good impression of what they saw. And in their blog post, the group goes into detail about the good practices they have identified in Utrecht, Delft, Wageningen and Rotterdam.
