Theresa Sommer ist seit 2024 Projektmanagerin für das Hochschulforum Digitalisierung beim CHE Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung. Hier engagiert sie sich insbesondere für die Themen Gesundheitsförderung, Wellbeing und digitale Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen.
Vor ihrer Tätigkeit beim HFD war Theresa Sommer als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität Bielefeld und der TU Clausthal tätig. Dort beschäftigte sie sich insbesondere mit den Themen politische Kommunikation, Politikfeldanalyse und der Rolle von Wissenschaft in politischen Prozessen, vor allem in Krisenzeiten und in der internationalen Umweltpolitik. Zuvor absolvierte sie ihr Soziologiestudium an der Universität Bielefeld.
