Over three days in November, more than a thousand people will come together digitally to discuss topics such as hybrid learning, diversity, artificial intelligence and future skills in various formats. The festival is aimed at everyone concerned with the present and future of academic education: Teachers, university administrators and students; activists and representatives from politics and administration; civil society and university employees; artists and scientists; EdTech founders and the press. There will be many options for English speakers available throughout the whole festival.

Programme of University:Future Festival 2021

The three-day University:Future Festival is structured in four parts, all of which are fed by submissions from our community. The KI track is created and hosted by KI-Campus – The learning platform for artificial intelligence throughout University:Future Festival.

On November 2, the event will start with the EdTech programme section, aimed at everyone interested in technical solutions. Visitors can try out innovative EdTech ideas and tools and get to know the people behind them. Also on the afternoon of 2 November, the conference section takes place – the heart of the festival! This section will continue on November 3. The programme is largely made up of submissions from our community. Among the confirmed speakers are participation educator Marina Weisband, federal Minister of Education Anja Karliczek, education journalist Jan-Martin Wiarda and the dean of FernUni Hagen, Ada Pellert.
The festival ends on 4 November with the workshop section, which creates space for longer and more interactive formats.

Creative:Space und Partner:Space

In addition to the main programme, the festival also offers additional programme areas, such as the Creative:Space and the Partner:Space.

With the Creative:Space, a part of the University:Future Festival will become a digital exhibition space for artistic projects of the design-practical oriented universities and study programmes. The artistic perspectives are important sources of inspiration for innovative teaching scenarios. Thus, the Creative:Space makes practical teaching models and projects from the digital semesters visible and invites reflection and interaction.

Behind the Partner:Space is an exhibition space that invites festival visitors to take a virtual stroll. On the first day of the festival, the Partner:Space will also become a Demo:Space, where visitors can try out innovative technological solutions for themselves.

Evening event Beer:to Peer

The University:Future Festival stands for experience, exchange and networking. That’s why, despite the digital event format, we don’t want to forego a physical encounter. Our evening event Beer:to Peer will take place in the Berlin Mainstage Studio of the festival, on the EUREF campus in Berlin-Schöneberg, on the evening of 3 November 2021. The sign-up period for the evening event ended on October 15.
