UNESCO: 2nd World OER Congress

The first World OER Congress took place in Paris in 2012. Five years and multiple developments after the event it's time for a second World Congress that will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 18–20 September 2017. The Congress will be co-organized by UNESCO and the Government of Slovenia and will focus on »OER for Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education: From Commitment to Action«. The topic reflects the role of OER in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (United Nations).

In advance there were held various Regional Consultations (Asia, Europe, Arab States, Africa, North America and Latin America, Pacific) to reflect on the current status of the recommendations made at the 1st World OER Congress and build awareness about the objectives of the 2nd Congress. A presentation of the results of the 6 Regional Consultations will be part of the programme. Furthermore, there are scheduled key notes, discussions and group discussions.
