In the workshop we focus on the explorable called Neural Numbers. Using the example of handwriting recognition of the digits 0 to 9, the explorable gets to the bottom of the following questions: What is an artifical neural network? How is it structured? And how is it trained? You can test how well different networks recognize your handwriting and what happens if you make incorrect entries.
We then plan together how the explorable can best be used in the classroom. Tailored to your individual target group, you can adapt your teaching unit to the previous knowledge of the students, the desired level of detail and the teaching time available. Of course we also look at the other explorables of the course, answer all questions and discuss different aspects of AI.
Please register for our course on the AI Campus before the workshop date and take a look at the first module on Neural Numbers to prepare. Otherwise you do not need any prior knowledge.
This workshop is aimed at teaches (Maths, IT) and is free of charge. We look forward to your participation!
