This year's meeting of the Global Learning Council (GLC) will take place in Berlin at the end of June. International experts and key stakeholders will come together to share ideas and perspectives themed "Paving the Way for the Digital Future".
The Global Learning Council (GLC) has been established as a virtual organization committed to advancing the use of science and technology to improve outcomes for learners around the world. After previous meetings in Pittsburgh and Singapore the Summit will focus on education biographies and lifelong learning. Questions like "What is required to leverage the full potential of a successful digital transformation throughout the entire education chain?" or "How can individual solutions and existing best practices be integrated into a holistic picture of the digitally enhanced education landscape of the future?" can be examined at the conference.
The draft programme provides panels for every formal and informal learning situation, such as "The Digitally Enhanced Classroom", "The Digital Transformation of Higher Education" or "The Digital Transformation of Lifelong Learning". There are also meetings of GLC working groups on schedule. During the whole summit there's the opportunity to visit the fair for Technology Enhanced Learning.
The event is co-organized by the Leibniz Association, Acatech National Academy of Science and Engineering, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Deutsche Telekom Stiftung, Fraunhofer Association, Hochschulforum Digitalisierung (German Forum for Higher Education in the Digital Age), German Rectors' Conference (HRK), Stifterverband (Joint initiative of companies and foundations), sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung.
Please note that attendance and participation is by invitation only due to capacity limit.
